We don't always get to meet the folks we meet here in real life. There are so many folks from my Feminism Today board who I only know through their posts, occasional emails, and their posted photos.
But last night I was able to meet a couple, in particular CMCaryn and Lauren Sue Masoero. iVillage held a little reception at Herrington on the Bay's Historic Yacht Club (
http://www.herringtononthebay.com/main.htm) to premier Lauren Sue's iVillage Voices video. Please click below to view her video and the others whom iVillage has featured.

Her story is truely inspirational, and it was great to see how much her community supports her.

Normally you hear the term “ear worm” and you think of some horrid song that gets stuck in your head that you wish would just disappear. It’s driving you nuts and you just can’t understand why that stupid tune won’t go away.
But today I have a great ear worm. The station I listen to locally (Yes, I do not have satellite radio. I don’t want to pay for radio like I pay for TV.), 94.7 The Globe, played “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon 2 days ago, and it’s been going on and on in my head. It’s a really light-hearted ditty about middle age and wondering where the time has gone with the last verse about discovering something new to rejoice in. It’s cute and sweet and comes from his CD Graceland which I used to have on tape.
Hmm, sounds like I need to CD shop again…

Blue Cross/Blue Shield is pushing this idea and I just love it! I've posted signs all over the office and I hope we have a nice crowd to go. If we do, I promise photos!

Since the kick off on the 13th, I've walked about 8.4 miles. I did two 3-milers with Mom while in Georgia, and I walked 2.4 miles today. Need to put on more, since lunch at work is about the only time I get to walk (except some on weekends).

Can someone please explain to me why some idiots turn on their emergency flashers when driving in heavy rain? I encountered at least 10 such dolts on my drive home from Georgia.
