A Happy New Year to ALL!
Yeah, I know it’s late. I was at the beach. So sue me. *wink*
The New Year is often a time when we set goals for the next year, so here are my New Year’s Resolutions:
1. Stress Less. Don’t create stress for myself and avoid those situations that I know will create stress. For those things I cannot avoid, learn to let go of the stress. It’s not worth it.
2. Lose weight. I’m setting no goal for the amount, just to try and eat healthier and exercise more. Gearing up to walk another 60 miles next October will help here.
3. Buy less. I don’t need new clothes (ok, except for limited athletic gear). I don’t need more jewelry. I only need shoes to replace the ones I have. Buy only books that I know I will read soon or use regularly. (I’d say go to the library instead, but I’m so bad on getting books back on time and frankly certain books I want to keep.)
3. Get more organized. Clean out the closet. (I’ve already made strides by getting another bookshelf to get our books off the floor.) Get the paperwork cleaned up in the home office. Do laundry more often. CLEAN. SIMPLIFY.
4. Give more. I have so many things I just don’t use. I shouldn’t sit on them like a dragon hoarding.
5. Spend more time with my husband doing what he wants to do and not saying boo about it.
Yes, I know they recommend that one should only set 1 or 2 goals for the year. I will be happy if I achieve positive steps in all of them or only 1 of them.
