May is American Stroke Month
A lot can happen in 40 seconds. A hummingbird will flap its wings 405 times; the world’s fastest sprinter will cover 400 meters; a heart will beat about 50 times; and someone in the United States will suffer a stroke.
The American Heart Association is advocating with legislators about heart disease and stroke related issues. And you can help. Through their You're the Cure program you can sign up to get Take Action alerts, so you can let your legislators know that you support action to reduce the toll of heart disease and stroke.
My Dad's life was cut short by a heart attack and I have lost a dear friend to a stroke, so these issues are important to me.
If they matter to you, too, visit You're the Cure and sign up!
