We've joined the club....
I'm not sure if it's a secret club, or if I just missed the invitation. Not even sure if there was a invitation, but we joined that club away!! I bought the boys some Crocs over the weekend! Yup! We joined the "I WEAR CROCS CLUB!" Oh, I thought they were horrid looking when I first laid eyes on the fake repicas at Target....in an adults size 10, colored salmon pink. Who in their right mind would wear those creep looking things....that was 2 years ago! Now, my little fellas are Croc wearing maniacs! THEY love them. They got an opportunity to pick out their own color. Tommy really wanted brown, especially after the sales lady called them "chocolate Crocs". Unfortunatly they were out of stock of "chocolate Crocs" in a size 10/11. He picked blue, even after I kept asking "you sure you don't want orange?!" John, being the typical little brother he is, he skipped the chance at owning his own "chocolate Crocs" in his teeny tiny size and opted for the BIG BROTHER BLUE Crocs! Yup, he picked matching ones, much to Tommy's dismay! As we were getting ready to make our big purchase, the boys noticed the little charms....I told them they could pick one each (I had already picked out their 2nd charm...an adorable Sheriff's badge, in honor of their daddy!) John picked his out right away! He picked Jesse, the cute little cowgirl from Toy Story 2. No, he didn't want Woody, or even Buzz Lightyear...it had to be Jesse!! And she looks so sweet on his little shoe. After what felt like an hour, but was only 10 minutes, Tommy finally picked out his charm. He narrowed it down from 10...to 1...a skull and crossbones from Pirates of the Caribbean. It's cute and fits his little shoe well.
The boys have worn everyday since we made the purchase. Tommy told my mom "Grammie, you gotta get yourself a pair.....it's just like walking with marshmallows on your feet!" John chimes in "Yeah Grammie, you got some marshmallows?" LOL!
I love the fact that there is nothing for me to tie, the boys take pride in their little Crocs and put them away neatly in their cubbie in the downstairs closet. The are definately responsible Croc wearing boys!
Check out John's pair....(Tommy's pair are currently on his feet at preschool right now)
