    The Olympic Games

Seven years after winning the bid to host the Olympics, Beijing finally kick starts the Olympic Games with an opening ceremony on Aug 8 at 8.08pm.  A very auspicious series numbers of eight for the Chinese people.  The ceremony was nothing short of spectacular.  While the city sort to whoa the world with their Chinese culture, the performance has displayed much creativity while highly entertaining.  My fave goes to the finale where Li Ning holds the last torch to fly/run around the stadium before finally firing up the big torch at the stadium.

I'm never a big sports fan, but  I do enjoy watching sports especially the Olympic is a display of skills of all the best sportsmen in the world.  However this year as I'm on the same time zone as Beijing & being Chinese, I'm supportive of Team China apart from my own home country.  On top of that, I can't wait to watch all the good looking & cute sports guy showing off their best skill in their best body & sweet smiles :-D  I'm planning to watch my regular fave including Swimming, Diving, Gymnastics amongst others whenever I can catch them from time to time.

Among all the Olympic items, I really like the gold medals which was encasted with Jade in the middle.  It would be so great if I can get my hands on one of those lol.  But otherwise I'm quite happy to get of the mascots :-)

The successful hosting of the Olympic Games in China for the first time is the pride of every Chinese people.  Go, China!
