My Dilema
I have three children two of them have done very well in school and enjoy life in general and respect us, parents. My middle child has struggle with rules, learning and respecting teachers, and us, her parents. During her teenage years she started using drugs and skipping school. She got in trouble and we had to pay fines and go to parenting classes. Both my husband and myself have given her help and have spend time trying to connect with her. She always wants us to do everything for her and thinks that we have to provide everything for her. She is 19 years old and she finally has a job, we have wanted her to get a job since she was 16 years old for her personal entertainment and gas money. She blames us and others for all her problems, she hates her younger sister and it seems that she hate us too. Her behavior has affected my marriage, I know that I have the weak parents, I give her more chances to be a better person, but my husband thinks that she will never change and she will never care for us. It has broken my heart that my daughter is ungrateful and disrespectful toward us. I know that I might have contributed to her behavior by not being patient with her when she was younger. I always tried to show her by example to be helpful to others and give back for our blessings. I just don't know why she resent us so much.
