Does anybody actually blog on this thing? Why would anybody decide to blog on NBC.com?? 

myNBC - how hack.  And speaking of hack, how hard was it to sign up for this thing??  Your captcha graphic or whatever that thing is really needs to be tested rigorously.  I have 20/20 vision and it took me 5 tries until I finally could enter the "secret code" shown in the image. I never have problems with those things until today.  There were like weird pacman symbols and shit.  

 Anyway, I commented on a shitload of SNL videos, especially the fake commercial stuff. 

This is the lamest social networking website I've ever seen. Rather sub-par considering that it's NBC.

 Also, a critique of the SNL stuff... Particularly in the fake commercials area. You give away the whole punchline in the title of the video. The surprise punchline is what makes these things funny. For example. There's one titled "Excedrin for Racial Tension Headaches". You spoil the whole payoff by putting that in the title. But I guess I shouldn't expect the people who came up with "myNBC social networking" to understand this.

 This really is extraordinarily stupid. It's so stupid that it actually fascinates me.

So blogging is a relatively new activity for me; I still feel like I am standing in front of an audience and expected to tell a joke…A funny thing happened to me on the way to the blog, that sort of thing.  Anyway, a funny thing did happen, I enjoyed it.  I find it a great way to communicate to others far and wide with similar interests.  It is a way to rant, rave, and share.

Let me introduce myself. Hi, I’m Beth Ann. I am a wife and the mother of four children ages 10, 8, 6, and 4. We live east of San Francisco in the Tri Valley area. Our house is affectionately referred to as “Camp Crazy.” It is a fun, busy household that gets really messy and a bit nuts at times. I have been known to motivate loudly (yell) and persuasively encourage (demand) from time to time, but all in all life here is good.

I am also known as the mom who gardens with the students at my children’s school and the one that loves to cook.  I pack lunch for my kids almost every day and I am currently going to school to get my certification as a Nutrition Educator.  What am I doing online writing a blog and launching a website you ask? Call it therapy if you want, or escapism or just something to do with my free time (HA HA).

As my children have started school, I have struggled with the ‘lunch on the go’ dilemma. Having grown up in the restaurant business, I know far too much about food safety to freak me out about how long lunch stays in a lunchbox before eaten, and the look of the hot school lunch is…well we will go into that another time. As a result, I started trying out recipes and ideas on my children and sharing the ideas with friends. Fast forward a few years and iLunchBox is born, with the help and guidance of the wonderful women at Mambo Media.

It's Saturday evening and despite the aching muscles, I feel great!  I made a list of goals for the week and one by one I am getting them done.  I am so HAPPY because the changes I am making are bringing my family closer together.  We are planning meals together, cooking together, playing catch together, and being active together.  It's been great.  I am finding that posting my goals here for everyone to see REALLY helps motivate me.  I want to be SUCCESSFULL so I am trying hard.  I KNOW I can do this.  I AM doing this! I even jogged to the school where I played catch with my son and back home afterward.  I have more to give in my workouts and in my home life.  I can work harder.  I am going to set an aggressive goal to weigh 173 by Christmas.  That's about 20 lbs a month, 5 lbs a week.  I BELIEVE I can do it.  I hope all of you are celerating your successes.  I still have alot more work to do on getting organized.  I need to ORGANIZE my day.  Find a daily schedule that works, that is balanced, and then make it my number one priority to stick to it.  Wish me luck!  I have struggled with this for years.

I blog in hopes that I will connect with someone. To remind me where I've been and where I'm going. Its my journal to the beautiful person inside of me. To reach out to others that feel like I do. I feel that I am not eliquent, interesting, or informative. I just blog to have something to do, beats eating and smoking late at night.
