If any of you would like help with your diet or exercise program, feel free to ask. I am a certified personal trainer, competitive bodybuilder and I just so happen really enjoy helping people. It is very rewarding and quite fun! Not looking for anything in return.
Best of luck to all!
http://www.shopNBC.comLower abs, particularly on men, are brought in more through diet than exercise. However, with regards to strengthening the area, you can attack it from two directions. First direct stimululus from lower ab work such as leg lifts off of the end of a bench. secondly, you can do secondary work on your lower back, with things like Good Mornings, that will also impact the abdominal wall.
Remember, trying to add ab thickness, you must continue to overload the muscle, so dont be afraid to use weights and low reps.
Typically, if you are lean, and exercising, you may just need to simply adjust caloric intake and training style in a few exercises. From a calorie standpoint, if you are happy with your bodyfat, I would typically recommend increasing the Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats in your diet. A simple way is to have one Muscle Milk shake per day, before bed. You can by it over at [*Link removed*] or other nutrition stores. Very good stuff. You will not add fat with this product, assuming all other things are in tune.
http://www.shopNBC.comFrom a weight training standpoint, if you are exercising, make sure you include squats and deadlifts in your weekly workout. Great mass builders.
For leg toning I recommend lunges, ply squats and traditional squats. From a cardio standpoint, try to use step machines with a long stride, do not short step it. Make sure your diet is good, with lots of green veggies and fiber. Fiber helps the body remove estrogen, which helps you not hold as much water or fat. If you have a good leg shot, share it and I may have more ideas. Hope this helps!!!
Of course, I a http://www.aswechange.comlways admired Arnold! LOL But on a personal note, I played college football, so I have always been active. My room mate back then was the Collegiate Nationals Bodybuilding Champion. He introduced me to Lee Haney, and former Mr. Olympia, and the two of them convinced me to become a bodybuilder after I was done with football. The rest is history!!
I looked at your pics and you seem to have a slim build, so I can only guess you have a little "Pooch" going on. LOL If that is the case, I would suggest that first of all you increase your fiber, and include LOTS of greens in your diet. Second, you will want to do some cardio work, compounded with lower ab work (Meaning done one right after the other). Cardio can be walking or bike, but ab work should be leg lifts and knee ups. Finally, if you are preparing for a shoot and still have a little lulge there, apply some Preparation H to the area the night before and cover with plastic wrap. Also, a little dandelion root will work as a mild diuertic. If you have a swimwear shot you can send, I will be glad to help further. good luck! http://www.aswechange.com
