I know this will come as a real shock to you…..but….some men think they are always right!!

I don’t know what it is…but there is something deep in the hearts of many men that will not let them admit that they don't know everything.

Now we sweet female types…..we do see right through it…..and that makes your man work even harder to be right!

One of my clients was trying to tell her husband that he said NO to her for every thing she asked. Of course, he said ‘No, he didn’t’! She decided to put it to a test…and here is how it went….

She: Do you want to see a movie?
He: No

She: Do you want to go for a walk?
He: No

She: Can we talk for a few minutes?
He: No

She: Could you help me carry this box?
He: No

Finally….in total frustration she said to him…..

Do you want to have sex?

He said NO before he even thought about what she said!!

Needless to say….she finally got his attention. This couple got a big laugh out of this and that broke the tension…..but they still had work to do.

So….what can you do if your man insists that he is right about everything?

There is an AMAZING AND POWERFUL TOOL THAT RARELY FAILS….it is so powerful, not everyone can handle it…..

AGREE WITH HIM…….you read correctly…..AGREE WITH HIM…..WHENEVER YOU CAN.

You may be in a pattern where you argue about big things and little things with the same passion. This is the perfect time to try this technique. There are so many things you don’t really need to be “right” about.

Look in the mirror and practice saying…..”You’re right about that.” It doesn’t hurt that bad…..I promise!!!

Telling him he is right about something will surprise him and while he is getting over the shock…..you say what you have to say.

For example…..

He says….”Your friend Darcy is always calling you during dinner.”
You say….”You’re right about that but she needs a friend.”

He says…..”But we need you too and I want to eat together as a family.”
You say….”You’re right, I can tell her I will call her back after dinner.”

If you can stop disagreeing about the small things……it won’t be long before you will be talking calmly about important things.

Dr. Wayne Dyer says “When you have a choice to be right or to be kind….always choose to be kind.”

It takes a strong person to live up to this…..and one strong person is often enough to start building a better relationship.

Last night I attended a "women" only sex talk that our pastors wife was doing.  I attended because, while my own sex life is great, I was curious to see what she had to say.  I have been doing "romance parties" (Slumber Parties) for over 2 yrs.  While many church goers know what I do (heck I make several deliveries at church each week) there are always the "You're going to heck quot; people too.  I've also come across many women here in the Bible Belt that feel sex is only for the man.  She is not to enjoy any of it.  

The pastor's wife went into several scriptures talking about how everything in the marriage bed is sacred (minus homosexuality, adultry, etc).  Some of the women were shocked as she continued to tell them to enjoy their husbands...anything goes! 

She went on to say that God created sex.  He isnt up there covering his ears like a little school boy.  One of his first conversations with Adam was a sex talk..."Be fruitful and multiply".  He gave us a clitoris for one reason....PLEASURE!!!!  That is the only purpose of the clitoris.  God made it..enjoy the pleasure it brings you!

She made the point that churches should be telling their congregation to enjoy sex,not act like it is a "dirty little secret" that married couples do.  We all know if you arent giving it to him, there is someone else out there that will.  You should want to crave him, ravish him...that is what God intended. 

If couples took the time to fully enjoy the gift of sex with their partner, then just think of how relationships would grow.  Trust, the feeling of being wanted and loved.  There would not be the need to go outside of the marriage.

I've had 7 women tell me that coming to my presentations have opened their eyes when they see the preachers wife or little Miss Suzy that teaches Sunday school buying creams and lotions for the bedroom!  Seven women on the verge of divorcing their husbands because they did not want to meet their husbands sexual needs in fear it would offend the Lord.  They should never hold back sex from him or vise versa.  Because we all know that if you aren't giving him the attention, some one else will.

God created sex!  Tonight DEVOUR your husband and ENJOY him!  God wants you to!!!!!!  See how your relationship changes with your husband.  Watch your relationship flourish with trust and a new kindled love!

Women have to know that it is ok!  Enjoy it!

So I went home to visit my family for the Christmas vacation.  I was kinda sad b/c I was leaving my b/f behind, but I knew he'd be there in a few days.  One night, I'm watching the local news, and the news anchor says, "This next piece is not what we would usually call news, but it is of particular importance to 2 young people" - and starts showing pics of me and my b/f together! 

She then says something like "some people are meant to be together for a lifetime......so Larry would like to know if you'd make him the happiest man in the world by becoming his wife"

and then, i turn around and there's a news camera at my door waiting to hear my response! how could i say anything but yes.... it was the most amazing proposal! 

for the rest of my vacation, people kept stopping me on the street to ask me questions about my wedding - lol.

I had a really interesting comment on a blog the other day, which expressed surprise at why I am still living with a man when it makes me so unhappy. At the time, I didn't want to go in to the full explanation but in replying to her personally I have found the process very cathartic. I also feel that you guys deserve an explanation too, so with that In mind, I'm doing this explanation post.

This is not a cry for help, nor an expression of me feeling awful, just a rationale of the way my mind works and why I stay. I don't need you to rush to my aid today, I'm not feeling really bad about it, I am today, just accepting it for what it is, but am in the mood to share my thoughts with you.

So just, read, and understand and take away with you what you will and treasure what you have. Please don't feel like you have to send me a load of hugs to pick me off the floor today, as that's not where I am. Of course hugs are ALWAYS welcome! lol! but today, I am pottering on without the desperate need for them.

WHY I STAY IN THIS RELATIONSHIP

To being with, I'm really all he's got and I feel responsible for him. In fact the reason I even went out with him in the first place was to try to help him improve his social skills. However, we both now believe he suffers from a mild form of autism called aspergers syndrome (possibly coupled with dyspraxia) and he suffers from diagnosed depression. He has only one friend who lives 50 miles away and no outside social interests and only his aged parents as close-by family members.

Add to that my own social isolation which meant that in the 9 months he worked away from our home together, I saw no-one, spoke to very few people (always about work problems) on the phone and generally became a recluse to the point that I was then hospitalised with depression. I know it would not be good for my own mental health to live alone. I stay for myself, mainly because of the fear of a life lived alone. I know how damaging it can be. I have no family, no true real-life friends (only casual acquaintances) and no RL support network of my own. In effect he is all I have too.

Lastly, on the occasions when things have got SO intolerable that I have asked him to leave, he refuses. Despite the fact that this is my house (and I could attempt to exercise my legal right to evict him) he will not willingly or easily give up what he sees as his moral right to live here. He is, it seems as fearful of living on his own, as I am. To evict him I would need to employ the service of possibly, police, solicitors and maybe even the court. I am not a strong enough person to go through that process right now and probably never will be.

We do know what else is out there both of us and have sadly both experienced it for many years. Neither of us want to go back to that sort of suicidal loneliness. For this lifetime, we settle for "the best we can do". In my case it is him.
