The way people meet each other has changed since the introduction of online dating. Today you can be extremely specific about what type of person you would like to meet. This is good because it will save you plenty of time.
One of the newest group of people to get started with online dating are fitness singles. This is for people who lead active lifestyles and want to associate with others just like them.
This makes perfect sense when you think about it. People who are on the go and do not slow down after work need a partner who can keep up with them and wants to do thing.
Whether you are seeking friendship, love someone to talk to or a partner to do activities with searching out fitnessloving is the way to go. Online dating sites offering matches for this type of crowd are pretty easy to find.
Also online dating services which cater to people looking for companionship from other active people. Some dating services will even give you the opportunity to select a dating partner based on a particular sport.
This is great as you can narrow down from someone who is active to a sport you both like. If you love to golf why not date a golfer. If you are into extreme sports like water rafting there is a mate out there just for you. All you have to do is find them.
Other fitnessloving categories you could search include aerobics, bodybuilding, cross country skiing, curling, fishing, hunting, para gliding, rock climbing, scuba, tennis, water polo, wind surfing, and more. If you do it you can probably find someone to do it with.
Here are 2 things to keep in mind when joining a fitnessloving dating service, you do not have to be a professional athlete, and you do not have to be in perfect shape. Very few of us are as we get older. There are still active people who are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. You may not be into sky diving, however, salsa dancing could be for you. There are various levels of fitness for everyone as well. Most dating services now offer the latest video and audio technology, text, email , chat rooms, and so on. Some sites offer audio chat as well, in this case you will not have to type when you are chatting with someone. This is multi tasking for the busy active person.
Fitnessloving is a great group of people to belong to if you lead a busy, active and single lifestyle.

SCANDAL AT UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
Philadelphia, PA. (Feb. 26, 2008) – The recently uncovered episode of resume padding and falsification at the University of Pennsylvania has become malignant.According to documents broadly circulated in the Penn community and disseminated to athletic programs nationwide, Nik DeVore, formerly head men’s tennis coach at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and recently named the Albert G. Molloy Head Coach of Men’s Tennis at the University of Pennsylvania, fabricated and overstated his qualifications in his official biography, demonstrating a prolonged consistent pattern of exaggeration and blatant fraud directly related to the position he now holds. In fact, Mr. DeVore’s web of deceit was spun well before he applied for the Penn coaching position; his biographical information on the Penn web site is lifted almost verbatim from his official LMU biography. DeVore demonstrates unabashed nerve: he takes credit even in his LMU biography for the success of an LMU player after the player transferred from the school, a claim that anyone at LMU could have shown to be false with even the briefest of investigation. He also provided information for an April 2005 University of Northern Colorado press release that welcomed him back to his alma mater as the coach of a competing team (LMU); that release likewise contained information from his college days at Northern Colorado that could easily have been shown to be false with even the briefest of investigation by anyone at the school. It is easy to see how DeVore was emboldened to retain this blatantly false information on his resume: if the very schools about which he fabricated or exaggerated his credentials carried his claims unquestioningly, why should he expect anyone else to investigate them and uncover his lies? But as George O’Leary (the famed college football coach who fabricated credentials) found to his detriment, transfer to a prestigious school invites greater scrutiny; now DeVore’s resume, upon his transfer to an Ivy League school, has been scrutinized and found to be false.Surprisingly, the Penn administration and athletic department seem to have taken a defensive posture on these proven allegations, rather than act immediately to distance themselves from DeVore’s web of deceit. In a message sent to the entire tennis team, Mr. DeVore states that “the athletic department, and the administration, have already looked into this matter thoroughly and can assure you that there is no truth to what was sent. I have full support from the department on this.” It is incredulous that an Ivy League institution committed to integrity and the development of character would condone DeVore taking credit for the success of one of his players at LMU, after the player transferred from the school; would condone his exaggeration of his own success as a player both in his college years and as a pro; would condone taking credit for degrees which were never earned; would condone claiming to be the head men’s tennis coach at Colorado State University when he merely coached the school recreational tennis program. DeVore claims that “most of the complaints are a matter of semantics and very minor nitpicky things… like what a degree was called.” Is misstating a degree merely a question of semantics? Is it nitpicky to expect one to accurately report his qualifications? Would it not be deceitful, for example, to claim an MBA rather than a BA and pass it off as virtually indistinguishable? To claim that a degree in “home economics” and a degree in “economics” are one and the same? Even if DeVore’s coaching abilities were truly stellar, how could one so lacking in integrity and truthfulness possibly inculcate in Penn students strength of character and honor? By facilitating the cover-up of these lies and misstatements, the administration, the trustees and the athletic department become cohorts and accomplices of this fraud being perpetrated against the tennis program and the University. What could possibly compel this distinguished University to brush its ethics problem under the rug in this crude and blatant manner? The usual suspect again rears its ugly head: the almighty dollar. Penn is in the midst of a multibillion dollar fundraising campaign, and the spring semester is the height of the season for the solicitation of contributions. Why rock the boat now, and put the anticipated donations at risk? One cannot help but wonder how they fail to see the obvious: standing up for honor and integrity is a far more effective fundraising tool than hiding deceit, fraud and a breach of ethics. It is truly regrettable that this venerable institution has become part of the very problem it was duty bound to manage. The following is a copy of a letter to the team sent by DeVore to “explain” his fraudulent resume. In addition, I have included a copy of a letter to the team challenging DeVore’s comments. “Guys, Just wanted to briefly address the e-mail you received. What you received is identical to what was sent (anonymously) via fed-ex a couple of weeks ago. The athletic department, and the administration, have already looked into this matter thoroughly and can assure you that there is no truth to what was sent. I have full support from the department on this (emphasis added). I was hired based on my successful experience as a DI Assistant Coach (Boise State) and as a DI Head Coach (Morehead State and Loyola Marymount). I have had a wide range of other experience in tennis as well. Most of the complaints are a matter of semantics and very minor nitpicky things like what year something was, what a degree was called, etc.... and the rest is simply bad research and not true (emphasis added). We can speak about this in more detail another time, and I am happy to meet one on one with anyone who has concerns or would like clarification. Nik
