Bummer that the strike is going to keep us from seeing the humor I have come to know and love.

I am supporting the WGA strike, so until it is settled, I have resigned from DMI and will not logging into this account.
This outline of the DMI Walkout action explains the whys and how you can participate too.
Join the Dunder Mifflin Infinity Walkout.
Are you an employee of DMI? Are you supporting the WGA strike? Do you want do something to help support the writers?
Join the DMI walkout in support of the WGA strike.
More information after the cut.
Omaha Branch Regional Manager lisahoo drills right down on why a walk out is necessary:
Attention all Omaha branch employees:
One of the writers of the show, Jason Kessler, is in charge of DMI. (The creative part, not the sucky web programming part of it.) And the writers DO NOT GET PAID for the online material they write, such as the Webisodes (for which they won an Emmy) and DMI. Compensation for the new media is a MAJOR point of the WGA strike. NBC has ads on every page of DMI, and is therefore getting revenue from this venture, but is not sharing that revenue from the creators of the show which brought us all here.
I will not be playing DMI anymore, after I use this forum to get the word out about WHY, and I encourage you all to do the same.
That means also REMOVING any banners you placed as part of the Local Ad task. Do not help NBC generate more revenue they don't share with the creative forces who made it possible!
There is an LJ community which discusses more ways fans can support the WGA at
http://community.livejournal.com/wga_supporters/ I encourage everyone to visit that site to do what they can.
Here is a sample letter I encourage everyone to send to NBC at http://www.dundermifflininfinity.com/feedback
Dear NBC/Universal:
I am hereby resigning from DMI/Omaha Branch effective immediately. I cannot in good conscience continue to participate in this online game during the WGA Strike, as it appears that ad revenue is being generated from the DMI website, and that revenue is not being shared with the creative team that created the show that this game is based on. It is not fair to those who have worked so hard to create this show, to not be compensated equitably.
Please remove me from the Corporate Directory and all NBC/Universal mailing lists. Thank you.
Signed me, with my real name and DMI screenname

Thank you for your attention, and please feel free to pass this information along to fellow Office fans.
