This was a family project. Dad drank the beer, Mom washed and dried the bottles, Hannah refilled them with our most commonly used spices and Hunter begged the manager from the local Mexican food restaurant for the caps.

Have I mentioned that I love spheres and anything circular? These are glass fishing net bouys purchased at a local antique shop. I tossed them in with a basket of pinecones I collected while visiting my uncle in California. I baked the cones in a 200 degree oven for an hour to remove the sap, then spray painted a few to add a splash of color.

This is one of six stained glass windows I've collected. It hangs in the window in my home office and filters green light into the room. Originally it lived in an old church and was sold in an auction. One pane has a crack and when I took the window in to see about having the pane replaced, they no longer make this shade of green.

I purchased two hibiscus plants about six weeks ago with some hesitation. My thumb is anything but green when it comes to outdoor plant life. I'm proud to say with a little help from my new friend, Miracle-Gro, I've managed not only to keep these babies alive, but they are blooming!

I pick up a sphere or two when I find them for $5 or less. I love the shape and different textures. My kids leave them alone, but each time a male type person visits our home for the first time, they instinctively pick one up and toss it lightly into the air. What is it with guys and balls?
