On my journey of wedding planning in the mountains I've faced many decisions. Currently I'm trying to walk the line among my 6 bridesmaids & find a beautiful, chic, & cheap bridesmaid dress. Today's inspiration is the beautiful lace work from.

But of course, the question remains; Is this affordable enough for my bridesmaids? Flattering to different body shapes? Two request no strapless, one is giving birth weeks before my big day...

My wedding is so close I can hardly believe it. It's less than two weeks away. We're pretty much set on most of the details and I can't wait!  The one thing I still need to do is come up with a track list for the karaoke portion of the reception (yes, I briefly considered having the entire wedding orchestrated in karaoke style, but it was really hard to find a karaoke minister…) — the trick is, in order to avoid having someone sing “Cat Scratch Fever” or something by Eminem at our wedding celebration, I’d like to restrict the song selection to love songs. Yeah, I know, I’m such a drag… While making such a list sounds really easy, it’s … not. Especially when you want to have a lot of songs so as to make it seem like people have a lot of choices even though you are stifling their inner diva. Luckily my awesome friend Lauren from work is an expert in all things cheesy and cool, especially when it comes to music (plus did I mention she happens to be an ABBA-ologist? It’s true.) and provided a quick list to get me started. Check out some of her picks:

Last week the community team, including the community managers, communty moderators and support staff, gathered in NYC for our annual conference. It was a busy, but fun time, full of meetings -- both of the office kind and of the "hey, so THAT's what you look like in person" kind. Our wonderful PR team always goes above and beyond to take care of the group while they're in town and this year was no exception. From travel arrangements to goodie bags to food and entertainment, they think of every detail. Knowing this as I do, I should have suspected something, but didn't even think that Kristie and Mary Ellen would surprise me with a lovely cake to commemorate my upcoming wedding. It was a great cake with an awesome filling -- and it was HUGE. Luckily we had several of the editorial staff and folks from other departments to help us take care of that. Thanks to Kristie, Mary Ellen and everyone for the well-wishes!

So this is my first time blogging...Let's see how it goes!

I'm currently at work and not really motivated to write any more motions or respond to anymore complaints.  Ha!  How am I going to survive as a lawyer?!  Well, I had my last law school exam ever last Friday and handed in my last law school paper ever this past Sunday...so officially,i'm done with law school!!!  I can now put 3 years of torture behind me...of course then there's the real world as a lawyer...and who knows what that's going to be like!

So...3 more days of work left and then it's graduation weekend!  My fiance arrives on Friday and I'm excited to see him.  While I can't believe that graduation is only a few days away, It's even more unbelievable that I'm getting married in 10 days!  When I think of everything that I have to do between now and the wedding, I feel my ulcer is coming back...

I have a wedding planner and she's been trying to keep me organized.  I went on my wedding website last night and looked at the  bride's checklist and realized that there are entirely too many things I still have to do!  ...i really hope everything gets done b/c I don't want to be stressing out so much the week of my wedding...

To make matters worse, the lovely people at PMBR decided that we should have no time off between graduation and studying for the BAR.  I literally have to go to PMBR classes every day the week of my wedding!  So now i'm trying to make a schedule to balance Fawaz (soon to be husband), my family, friends, and wedding preparations.

Well thank goodness it's finally here. The end of April.  And of course it's going out with a bang -- I'm sick.  Which is NOT good because the kiddo's surgery is next week. He cannot get sick. :|

I feel like my head is about to explode, my eyes won't stop watering and I've got body aches like you wouldn't believe.  It's been this way since Monday. :S  The school morning battles just aren't as fun with me ready to collapse. ;)

Friday is my wedding anniversary.  Eight years.  (In August we'll be together 12.)  I haven't even left the house (left the house?!  I haven't left the couch nevermind the house!) since Sunday so I of course don't have a gift to give or a even a card.   Hopefully I'll feel better enough tomorrow to run to Target for a card and he'll just have to wait until I'm better for a gift.

I had so many things I wanted to do this month, all out the window.  The kiddo has his surgery on the 8th, so I'm going to postpone all my 'plans' until after he's better.  Then its hello organization and getting my life back on track. ;)
